Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state is required.
• Minimum 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Decontamination and updating patient information as required.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and ensure specimen integrity.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol; verify requisitions.
