Qualifications

• 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients as required.
• Demonstrates proper technique with straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Ensures all requisitions or labels match correctly and that specimens are packaged for transport.
