The main duties include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, data recording, and ensuring correct testing procedures. OSHA/DEP compliant; potential for permanent placement exists.

Formación

• 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience required.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles; understand physicians' orders.
• Match lab requisitions to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, and freeze as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store per required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read lab results to satisfy inquiries.
