Job summary

RRC Solutions Group is seeking a Phlebotomist in Rockville, MD for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with an expected duration of 3 months plus potential for perm.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, and adherence to OSHA/DEP regulations. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, along with a phlebotomy certification and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 5 work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
