Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Rockville, MD. The position runs for approximately 3 months with potential for permanent placement, and a daytime schedule from Monday to Friday (8:00 am to 4:30 pm).

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, and proper sample handling. The candidate should have a valid phlebotomy certification and at least two years of experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification valid for the state of employment.
• 5+ years venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrates technique using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Fully understands physicians' orders and matches requisitions to specimens.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores samples per protocol to maintain integrity.
