Job summary

Your Talent Team in Rockville, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist on a contract basis with a potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with an initial duration of 3 months and potential conversion.

Primary duties include blood draws, specimen labeling and handling, and compliance with lab protocols. The role requires a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, along with proficiency in Microsoft

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, and handle specimens per protocol.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients as required.
• Maintain accurate patient information and requisitions.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations; participate in trainings.
