Job summary

KLA Industries in Kannapolis, NC seeks a contract Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and support lab operations. The role runs Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–12:30pm, with a 3‑month project duration and potential conversion to permanent hiring.

Upon hire, you will be responsible for specimen collection, processing, and ensuring proper handling and documentation. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record are required; mileage reimbursement is provided.

Qualifications

Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum of 6 months’ work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; ensures accurate labeling and transport of samples.
Clearly and courteously explains the venipuncture process to patients.
Follow OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual department trainings.
