KLA Industries in New Canton, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to support blood collection in a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The role requires 2+ years of experience and the ability to perform heel sticks, with schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

The position emphasizes accurate specimen handling and compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations. The successful candidate will perform blood draws, label specimens, and ensure safe transport and proper storage of samples,

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Properly explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Package specimens for transport and ensures correct labeling and temperature control.
