Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Lawndale, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent conversion. The position requires handling blood draws and specimen processing, with schedule 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, labeling, sample handling and data entry, in a fast-paced clinical lab. Requires certification and at least 1 year of experience; HS diploma or GED accepted. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain in a clear but courteous manner the venipuncture process and specimen collection as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to required temperatures.
