Responsibilities include collecting, labeling, centrifuging, and recording maintenance data, while complying with OSHA regulations. A valid phlebotomy certification and a High School Diploma or GED are required, with 6 months of venipuncture experience

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and handles labeling and transport.
