Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Kannapolis, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to support a 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire. Duties include blood draws, specimen labeling, and processing in a clinical lab setting, with mileage reimbursement and transportation considerations. Schedule is M-Th 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-12:30pm, with potential cross-account float.

Requires valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months' experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital. High school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; explains venipuncture to patients clearly and courteously.
Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles; match requisition forms to specimens.
Package specimens for transport and ensure sample integrity per protocol; comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
