KLA Industries in Lawndale, NC seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri, with a 3-month projected duration and potential for conversion.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, data entry, and maintaining OSHA compliance. Requirements: state phlebotomy certification, 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab, HS diploma or GED, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and test orders.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously to patients.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and attend departmental trainings.
