Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in Greer, SC seeks a contract Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture, label and process specimens, and ensure accurate data entry. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, for an initial duration of 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Minimum 6 months of diagnostic phlebotomy experience is required, along with a valid state phlebotomy certification and a HS diploma or GED. Benefits are available for this assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by the test order.
• Check test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy and proper transport of specimens.
