Tom Trese Networking LLC in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a contracted phlebotomist to perform blood draws and associated duties. The role requires setup, labeling, specimen handling, and adherence to safety regulations, with a schedule Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm and an initial duration of about 3 months, with potential for permanency.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles as required.
• Fully understand all physician orders and match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order and transport rules.
• Check all requisitions vs script to ensure 100% accuracy. Package specimens for transport.
• Stores specimen samples according to required temperature and required containers.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
