Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• Minimum of 6 months’ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing duties, troubleshoot, and train staff.
• Experience performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and data entry.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
