Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens
• Centrifuging specimens and maintaining records
• Decontamination and updating patient information as required
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature control
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual trainings
