Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Phlebotomist for an on-site role in Farmville, VA. The contract position runs 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, and maintaining accurate records. Requires pediatric and hard-stick experience, OSHA compliance, and a valid phlebotomy certification.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Benefits are available. Minimum 2 years of experience required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens.
• Recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure correct labeling and temperature control.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and comply with safety regulations.
