Vogrinc Search Group is seeking a phlebotomist in Glen Burnie, MD for a contract position with potential to convert to permanent. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with an expected duration of about three months and possible extension.

The role requires blood collection, specimen handling, labeling, and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines. Training and performance assessments will be conducted during the contract period.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly and courteously the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection as required.
• Demonstrate technique with straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
