Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum 5 venipuncture procedures in fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge and process specimens; record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients clearly and courteously.
• Match requisitions to specimens and ensure proper labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
