6 Degrees Search is seeking a Phlebotomist in Germantown, MD. The position is contract with potential for permanent placement after ~3 months, working Mon–Fri 8am–5pm. Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen handling, labeling, and compliant documentation.

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum 5 years of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles as required.
• Ensure all orders are understood and matched to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain proper storage conditions.
• Verify requisitions against scripts and keep accurate labels and temperatures.
• Attend annual departmental trainings and respond to inquiries.
