Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens per procedure.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Adhere to physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling.
• Store specimens according to required temperatures and protocols.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Assist with answering inquiries and communicating results.
