Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC in Anchorage, AK is seeking a phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with an initial duration of about 3 months.

Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, labeling and processing specimens, documenting maintenance data, and ensuring specimens are transported correctly. A valid phlebotomy certification and at least six months of experience are required, with basic MS Office

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required in the employed state.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens per protocol.
• Centrifuge, decontaminate, and document maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure correct labeling.
