Job summary

Connectly Recruiting in Anchorage, AK has a contract Phlebotomist position with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, for an estimated 3 months with possible extension.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and ensuring specimen integrity. Requirements: state phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months venipuncture experience. High School diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• State phlebotomy certification (where required).
• Minimum 6 months experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain and perform venipuncture using standard needles; match requisitions to specimens; package specimens for transport.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings; answer inquiries.
