Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract opportunity in Glens Falls, NY. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30am to 4:30pm, with every other Saturday 7am–12pm.

The project duration is 3 months with potential for permanent employment. Typical duties include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, data recording, and ensuring specimen integrity and proper transport.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens according to procedure.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to temperature requirements.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Assist with updating patient information and documentation as required.
