Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a phlebotomist for a contract role in Baltimore, MD. The candidate should have 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and be capable of handling pediatric through geriatric patients, with duties including blood draws, specimen labeling, and data recording.

The position is 8:30am-5pm on weekdays with one Saturday per month, for an initial 3-month duration and potential conversion to permanent employment. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients in a courteous manner.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and butterfly needles as required.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Match lab requisitions to specimen tubes and package specimens for transport.
