Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Phlebotomist in Baltimore, MD. The contract position (3 months + potential for permanent) requires experience with blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and specimen handling, serving patients from pediatric to geriatric ages. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm, with one Saturday per month.

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed is required.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Perform blood draws and label specimens.
Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
Decontaminate and store specimens according to procedures.
Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
