Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC in Anchorage, AK seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent employment. The role includes blood draws, specimen labeling, and ensuring proper handling and transport of samples.

Schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with benefits available. Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, labeling and centrifuging specimens, maintaining data records, updating patient information, and adhering to OSHA/DEP

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood draws.
• Label specimens and centrifuge specimens.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination.
• Update patient information.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection procedures clearly to patients.
