Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and ensures 100% accuracy of test requisitions.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures for transport.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Answer telephone calls and communicate results to satisfy inquiries.
