Job summary

Henderson Group seeks a qualified Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture, label and process specimens, and ensure accurate documentation in a fast-paced lab environment in Trinity, FL. The role requires following physician orders, maintaining specimen integrity, and adhering to OSHA/DEP regulations.

Minimum 2 years of experience and a valid phlebotomy certification are required; a high school diploma or GED is also essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED; minimum 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly the venipuncture process and other specimen collection to patients as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure alignment with physicians' orders and test requisitions; label and process specimens accordingly.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity per protocol.
