Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Trinity, FL, with potential for permanent hire. The role requires performing venipunctures, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate patient and test records.

Candidates must have a valid phlebotomy certification as required in the state, at least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains the venipuncture process and other specimen collection to patients in a clear, courteous manner.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand physicians' orders and match requisition forms to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperatures.
