Job description

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team for a 13-week contract position in Clearwater, FL. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced environment while supporting the dispensing of medications, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Position Details

1. Type: Temp/Contract
2. Duration: 13 Weeks
3. Schedule: Monday - Friday (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
4. Location: Clearwater, FL
5. Start Date: ASAP (1.5-2 weeks after offer)

Key Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions, handle insurance adjudications, and resolve rejections
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification
• Perform data entry, manage prescription paperwork, and communicate with patients and prescribers
• Maintain accurate inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration reviews
• Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction processes
• Cross-train in various pharmacy functions and support department needs as required
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• PTCB certification and FL pharmacy tech license in good standing
• 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience (call center background preferred)
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with patients, providers, and internal teams
