Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Payroll Specialist to analyze Workday data exports, verify accuracy, and support a bi-weekly payroll for US and international employees. The role includes journal entries, reconciliations, and troubleshooting with HRIS.

Training is onsite, with potential hybrid work after onboarding. Qualifications include 3+ years of full-cycle payroll for 500+ employees, experience with ADP/Workday/Ceridian/SAP, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing for 500+ employees.
Experience creating journal entries.
Strong multitasking and analytical abilities.
Experience with web-based payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, Ceridian, SAP (training provided).
Proficiency with Word and Excel.
Knowledge of payroll accounting, payroll concepts, and regulations.
Experience with year-end reporting and W2 processing.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Effective communication across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated organizational skills and time-management.

Responsibilities

Coordinate efforts between departments to ensure data collection and accuracy for payroll posting.
Review and verify changes imported from Workday for accuracy.
Ensure timesheets are processed and approved timely by employees and managers.
Monitor payroll mailbox and respond to inquiries within 48 hours.
Research and resolve payroll-related issues timely and accurately.
Register new state tax jurisdictions and ensure they are compliant.
Prepare and post payroll journal entries.
Assist with auditor requests related to payroll.
Maintain payroll records in an organized manner.
Calculate and reconcile retroactive and proactive amounts.
Review Payroll Interface for errors.
Run data reports for key stakeholders.
Perform reconciliations for payroll accounts and year-end W2 processing.
