Job summary

Soliant is seeking an RN-Operating Room contract nurse in Virginia to support surgical procedures in a fast-paced OR setting. The role requires a current RN license in good standing and at least one year of recent OR experience, with proficiency in circulating or scrubbing across diverse surgeries.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses to ensure patient safety, monitor status, and document interventions while maintaining aseptic technique.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year recent OR experience.
• Proficiency in circulating and/or scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary surgical team.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and ensure equipment and supplies are ready and sterile.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient status throughout procedures and respond to changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, medications, and observations.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and OR protocols to ensure safety.
• Provide patient education and emotional support before and after surgery.
• Participate in surgical team briefings and debriefings.
