Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Registered Nurse to advance surgical nursing in the Operating Room on a contract basis. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after surgery, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure patient safety and quality care.

This role requires an active RN license, at least one year of OR experience, BLS and ACLS, and strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license.
• Minimum of one year current experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Proficiency in patient monitoring and the use of specialized OR equipment.
• Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking abilities.
• Team-oriented approach with a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Monitor patients and quickly respond to changes in condition during procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room with necessary surgical equipment and sterile supplies.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Carefully document patient information, surgical activities, and observations in compliance with regulations.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care, addressing questions and concerns.
• Uphold strict principles of aseptic technique and infection control throughout procedures.
• Participate in ongoing process improvements to ensure the highest quality of care.
