Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Contract Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our gardening and maintenance departments, as well as to help develop and implement our fertilization program. This role is vital in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our services and in building the foundation for our future fertilization routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all Aspire data entry and related operations relevant to the Gardening, Maintenance, and Fertilization divisions.
- Oversee the daily operations of the gardening and maintenance departments.
- Ensure compliance with safety programs and company procedures.
- Train Crew Leaders on technology (Aspire, etc.) and production/job duties.
- Maintain property maps and execute the Landcrafters’ Safety Program.
- Assist with equipment allocation and work ticket scheduling.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
- Participate in recruiting and hiring processes.
- Implement and manage quality control measures across multiple properties.
- Monitor and ensure the completion of assigned work tickets.
- Communicate enhancement opportunities and issues to the Account Manager.
- Develop and manage the fertilization program, including building routes (to be built from the ground up months after the person starts).
- Planning, scheduling, and implementing tasks associated with fertilizer and chemical applications for multiple field technicians to ensure compliance with contract specifications, budgets, and client expectations.
- Monitor landscape health and care needs, diagnose primary turf problems, perform basic pest identification, and execute chemical and fertilizer applications.
- Maintain proper documentation as required by The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 5+ years of direct, verifiable experience in landscape management.
- L&O (Lawn & Ornamental) certification, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of joining.
Additional Qualifications:
- Proficient in deficiency recognition and correction protocols.
- Ability to assist in route and job scheduling.
- Experience in training and holding Crew Leaders accountable.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to create and maintain property maps.
- Familiarity with Gant Charts and production rates.
- Knowledge of customer contracts and company procedures.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in developing and executing fertilization programs.
- Ability to provide recruiting and hiring recommendations.
- Familiarity with Aspire software.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
