Description

Responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates and provides age-specific care for patients with wounds, including but not limited to pressure ulcers, vascular ulcers, diabetic ulcers, trauma, skin tears, etc. The RN will also educate staff, families, patients, and the community about wound care and dressings. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care, aiming to achieve desired outcomes. Data collection for care improvement opportunities is also part of the role.

Qualifications

1. Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (AS, diploma, or baccalaureate degree) from an approved School of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
2. Experience: Three to five years of direct patient care experience required. Prior experience in complex wound management or skin care is desirable but not essential.
3. Licenses/Certificates: RN license, current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.
