Job summary

Primary Talent Partners is seeking an NGS Scientist to join our pharmaceutical client in Boston, MA on a 6-month contract with potential extensions. The role focuses on next-generation sequencing library preparation, RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, and snRNA-seq across therapeutic areas within the Cardiometabolic Research team.

You will conduct experiments to identify and validate drug targets, support assay design and data analyses, and present results in oral and written form.

Qualifications

• B.S. and/or M.S. with 3-5 years of laboratory research experience.
• Molecular biology mastery of nucleic acid extraction and purification, QC and qPCR.
• Strong background in NGS technologies including RNA-seq (bulk) and amplicon-seq.
• Experience with single-cell and single-nucleus RNA-seq library preparation; familiarity with multiple platforms like 10X Genomics Chromium, Illumina PIP-seq, ScaleBio, Parse Biosciences.

Responsibilities

• Perform RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, snRNA-seq library preps for all CMR groups.
• Design and execute molecular and cell biology experiments.
• Support assay design, optimization, validation and data analyses.
• Troubleshoot and analyze complex data for drug discovery projects.
• Present results and conclusions both orally and in writing.
