Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead the HTS-NGS team supporting oligonucleotide platform projects with a focus on RNA editing therapeutics.

You will mentor a team performing in vitro screening, NGS characterization, and assay development; design molecular biology workflows; drive automation for high-throughput capabilities; and collaborate with Chemistry, Data Science, and Biology to align with project goals. Hybrid work arrangement available.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc with industry biotech/pharma experience.
• Hands-on cell culture in 96/384-well formats.
• NGS experience (amplicon-seq, RNA-seq) including library prep and QC.
• Experience with automation and LIMS (Benchling) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team performing in vitro screening and NGS characterization.
• Design and optimize molecular biology and NGS workflows.
• Drive automation and high-throughput technology integration.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Chemistry, Data Science, and Biology teams.
