Job summary

Essex Property Trust in Irvine is seeking a Contracts & Procurement Associate to generate and manage contracts, change orders, and bid packages with cross-functional teams. You will negotiate terms, ensure compliance with legal requirements, owner specs, and government regulations, and handle invoicing in Yardi/Payscan.

Strong MS Office skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this hybrid role.

Qualifications

AA or BA/BS from two-year or four-year college/university is required or preferred.
1+ years of experience in contract and/or project procurement roles are preferred.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with Yardi/Payscan preferred.

Responsibilities

Generate and execute contracts/change orders per company policy.
Prepare, manage, and execute comprehensive bid packages with cross-functional teams.
Negotiate contract terms and ensure compliance with legal requirements, owner specs, and government regulations.
Monitor contract execution per company policy.
Input invoices into Yardi Voyager/Payscan after proper approvals.
Maintain vendor files and correspondence.
Obtain lien waivers and required documents from vendors.
Verify project sign-offs and process change orders.
Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and documents.
Resolve budget or payment issues and inform project managers.
