Job summary

RPh on the Go is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a 13-week contract to support long term care and mail order pharmacy services. The schedule blends 2 PM–6 PM, Wed–Sun, with 9 AM–7:30 PM on Mon–Tue, providing a mix of afternoon and extended hours.

Responsibilities include dispensing medications, monitoring safety and compliance, ensuring legal distribution, counseling patients, and supervising staff. Experience in LTC/mail order or retail is preferred, with strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Active pharmacist license (WA) required.
• Experience in long term care, mail order, or retail pharmacy preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and safety.
• Ensure legal supply and distribution of medicines.
• Verify appropriateness of prescribed medications for patients.
• Maintain confidential, precise patient/pharmacy records.
• Counsel patients on medication use, interactions and side effects.
• Provide services like smoking cessation advice and blood pressure monitoring.
• Educate patients on device handling (blood pressure monitors, glucose meters).
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions as required.
• Supervise staff including technicians and clerks.
• Manage inventory to maintain supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians to address drug-related issues.
