Job summary

RPh on the Go seeks a Long-Term Care Pharmacist for a contract opportunity with an established LTC pharmacy in Chicora, PA. The position offers both full-time (40 hours/week) and part-time (24 hours/week) schedules.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, verifying blister-packaged meds, addressing clinical questions, counting controlled substances, and managing emergency boxes. Requirements include PA license, 1+ year LTC experience, and fast-paced enviroment proficiency.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing.
• 1+ year of pharmacist experience, LTC experience preferred.
• Experience working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Check orders entered by a data entry technician for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities and hospice.
• Check packaged medications which are blister packed; review sterile and non-sterile meds.
• Answer calls from facilities, hospice nurses and physicians; respond to clinical questions.
• Count controlled substances and document in perpetual inventory.
• Check emergency boxes.
