Job summary

RPh on the Go is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to work in Salt Lake City, UT on a 13-week contract within a dynamic long-term care mail-order environment.

The role involves dispensing medications, providing patient consultations, and supervising pharmacy staff to ensure the highest standard of pharmaceutical care. Expect collaboration with physicians and delivery of patient services including BP and cholesterol management.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree and active pharmacist license required.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience.
• Experience in long-term care, mail-order, or retail settings preferred.
• Knowledge of medication regulations and patient counseling best practices.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately following laws and safety rules.
• Provide patient counseling on usage, side effects and interactions.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and clerks to maintain efficient operations.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify overuse patterns.
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
• Deliver additional services such as smoking cessation, BP monitoring, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices (BP monitors, glucose meters).
• Compound medications, including sterile preparations, per procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians to resolve drug-related issues.
