Job summary

RPh on the Go is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a 13-week contract in West Jordan, UT. The role focuses on long-term care and mail order services, requiring Pharmacist licensure, 1+ year experience, and strong patient counseling skills.

Responsibilities include dispensing medications, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising staff, and collaborating with physicians. Schedule spans Wednesday to Sunday 2 PM–6 PM and Monday-Tuesday 9 AM–7:30 PM, with a flexible, contract-based arrangement.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Pharmacist license required.
• Experience in long-term care, mail order, or retail pharmacy settings essential.
• Strong communication skills to support patient counseling and staff supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within the pharmacy workflow.

Responsibilities

• Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications to patients.
• Monitor medication compliance, identify over-usage, and address drug-related issues.
• Ensure medication supply and dispensing adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
• Maintain confidential and accurate patient records and pharmacy files.
• Provide expert consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Educate patients on medication use and medical device handling, such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Offer additional patient services including smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions according to established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure operational efficiency.
• Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory to meet patient and facility needs.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare practitioners to resolve drug-related problems.
