OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation seeks Contract Investigators to support background investigations for DHS and the intelligence community. Work is on an as-needed basis with a minimum anticipated 10 hours per week where work exists.

Local candidates in Jackson, MS are preferred, with travel within a 35–50 mile radius from the city. Applicants must have specialized federal background investigation experience within the last five years, some FIS experience, a valid driver's license, reliable

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of federal background investigative experience within the last 5 years.
• Must have some FIS experience and reliable vehicle with valid license.
• Ability to travel (car/plane) for temporary duty assignments.
• Pass background checks and required training.
• Strong problem solving and interpretation skills.
• Proficient in MS Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Current SSBI or active Secret clearance based on SSBI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person interviews to obtain facts about background and character.
• Gather information from sources to produce investigation reports with pertinent facts.
• Travel within geographic area to conduct investigations at various locations.
• Be willing to travel 30–50 miles as needed.
• Engage with managers and government reps to maintain relationships.
• Adapt to changing situations and diverse environments.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communications and professionalism.
• Handle workload based on case availability; some TDY may be required.
• Perform other duties as required.
