Job summary

OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation in the United States is seeking Contract Investigators for on-call assignments in Camilla, GA. This role is contract-based with no guaranteed hours, requiring local travel within 35-50 miles and occasional TDY.

The ideal candidate has federal background investigation experience, familiarity with FIS, strong report writing and interview skills, and the ability to work independently using MS Office.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of specialized Federal Background investigative experience within the last 5 years.
• Must have some FIS experience.
• Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record.
• Willing to travel on temporary duty assignments as needed (by car or plane).
• Successfully pass background checks and required training.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions in oral, written, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret journals, procedures, or regulations.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Proficiency with MS Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet and Email.
• Current SSBI or active Secret level security clearance based on an SSBI and able to obtain the required clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person, one-on-one subject interviews to obtain factual information in line with agency guidelines.
• Obtain factual information from a variety of sources to produce a comprehensive background report.
• Travel within the geographic area of responsibility to conduct investigations at various locations.
• Must be willing to travel within 30-50 miles as needed.
• Engage with managers and representatives at contractor facilities and government agencies to maintain effective relationships.
• Adapt to changing environments and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication and maintain professional demeanor.
• Workload based on case availability in the geographic area.
• Some voluntary TDYs to other areas (2-4 weeks) possible.
• Other duties as required.
