Job summary

digitalLIFT seeks contract instructors (up to 20 hours a week) to provide basic ipad/tablet/laptop and internet skills training to older adults in Solano County, in person and virtually. Pay rate is $30 per hour.

Duties include delivering digital literacy training at partner sites, supporting community outreach, coordinating service delivery, and data management and reporting. Successful applicants have teaching and communication skills, comfort with learning new tools, and reliable broadband.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written fluency in English; Spanish or Tagalog a plus but not required.
• Teaching and communication skills are essential for effective instruction.
• Working knowledge of Google Suite (Calendar, Meets, Docs, Sheets) and other collaboration tools (Zoom, Dropbox).
• Comfortable with learning new skills, tools and processes.
• Experience operating various devices (desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.).
• Reliable broadband Internet connection.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Digital Literacy Training to adults.
• Provide training in-person at partner sites and remotely when needed.
• Adjust curriculum to address learners' needs; follow established curriculum.
• Support community outreach and PR; inform learners and collect feedback.
• Coordinate service delivery; perform site visits and prepare training materials.
• Report hours and collect data for program evaluation.
