Job summary

Dorcas International Institute of RI seeks a Digital Literacy Instructor to deliver in-person and online computer literacy classes for ESL learners. You’ll evaluate progress, record gains, and proctor tests while supporting broader technology programs.

Responsibilities include designing lessons, teaching typing, internet navigation, and using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. You’ll integrate the NorthStar curriculum and assist with job applications and resume writing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required.
• Prior computer literacy teaching experience.
• Experience working with ELL or diverse populations.
• Experience using educational software and remote learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement digital literacy lessons tailored for ESL learners.
• Guide students in email communication, online safety, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Incorporate the NorthStar Curriculum into the syllabus and proctor tests.
• Support learners in job applications, resume writing, and online job searches.
