Job summary
Legal.io seeks an experienced Commercial Counsel to support its legal team on a full-time contract engagement of 6 months. You will draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including SaaS and professional services, with business stakeholders to efficiently move transactions to closure.

Qualifications
- JD and active U.S. state bar in good standing.
- 4+ years of commercial contracting experience, preferably in-house.
- Experience negotiating SaaS, software, technology, and professional services agreements.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple contracts in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Ironclad or similar CLM platforms.
- Comfortable using AI-enabled legal tools to improve productivity.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including SaaS, technology, professional services, and vendor contracts.
- Review redlines against established playbooks and standards.
- Manage contract negotiations from intake to execution and drive timely resolution.
- Provide practical legal guidance to business stakeholders across the organization.
- Support lower-complexity strategic partnerships and related initiatives.
- Identify issues requiring escalation and elevate risks as needed.
- Utilize contract workflows and documentation tools to manage processes.
