We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This is a hybrid role that allows for a flexible work arrangement between remote work and on-site presence, providing the best of both worlds. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, who is comfortable with complex financial data, and has a knack for identifying and solving problems. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field and proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will be a key player in our finance team, with responsibilities that include

• Managing the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
• Ensuring all invoices are accurate, approved, and paid in a timely manner.
• Conducting regular reconciliation of vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies.
• Assisting in month-end closing processes, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Providing support in the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor files and records.
• Collaborating with other departments to streamline and improve accounts payable processes.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
• Providing support in ad-hoc projects as required.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Accounts Payable Analyst role should possess the following qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Excel is a must. Knowledge of other financial software and systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• A solid understanding of accounts payable principles and procedures.
• A proactive approach to work, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for tasks.
