Job Description

This role involves deploying, implementing, and leading Continuous Improvement initiatives and facilitating World Class Operations Management methodologies at the plant. As a member of the plant leadership team, additional responsibilities may be assigned to support the plant’s operational goals.

What You Get to Do
  • Lead safety initiatives, collaborating with the EHS Manager to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Drive the deployment of World Class Operations Management (WCOM) philosophy into the plant culture.
  • Identify and coordinate high-value cost-saving projects, ensuring proper resourcing and project completion.
  • Participate in daily production and operational decisions to ensure quality, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and problem-solving expertise to improve performance.
  • Motivate, coach, and develop engineers, supervisors, and employees, establishing clear expectations and standards.
  • Lead employee training programs to enhance continuous improvement skills and develop new processes as needed.
  • Manage major projects to improve plant results.
  • Analyze data from various systems to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate efforts to enhance Continuous Improvement results through audits and reporting.
  • Facilitate best practice sharing within and outside the plant.
  • Manage communication on plant improvement projects and lead project selection and policy deployment processes.
  • Drive change management and overcome obstacles.
  • Foster Amcor’s core values and a high-performance culture.
  • Absorb new technologies and management techniques effectively.
  • Use an approachable, participative leadership style to motivate higher performance.
  • Experience in implementing lean principles or other CI methodologies is preferred.

What We Want From You
